Blessed day, everyone. With all the chaos, I almost forgot about pride month. While our minds may be somewhere else, it’s still important to learn to accept queer people for who they are. Unfortunately, some of my fellow believers in Christ have certain reservations about accepting the LGBT+ community. I understand. Having been raised to believe that being homosexual was sinful, I was horrified when I first discovered I was lesbian. But study, thought and returning to God has lead me to accept myself for who I am. In this bulletin, I provide responses to many of the common statements used to avoid becoming open and affirming.
